At SoftSignal, your privacy is at the heart of everything we build. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've written it in plain language because we believe transparency shouldn't require a law degree.
When you use SoftSignal, we collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, and health-related check-in data (mood, symptoms, pain levels). We also collect technical data such as device type, browser version, and general location for service improvement.
We use your information to provide and improve the SoftSignal service, including daily check-in tracking, health reports, caregiver notifications, and reminder features. We never sell your personal data to third parties. Your health data is used solely to deliver the service you signed up for.
Your health data is only shared with the trusted contacts you explicitly add to your Care Circle. Caregivers can view check-in status and health summaries only when you grant them permission. We may share anonymized, aggregated data for research purposes, but this data can never be traced back to you.
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption both in transit and at rest. We use secure cloud infrastructure and regularly audit our security practices. Access to personal data is strictly limited to authorized personnel who need it to provide the service.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can export your health records or request a complete deletion of your account by contacting us. If you are in the EU/UK, you have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to object to processing.
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or trackers. Any analytics we collect are anonymized and used solely to improve the user experience.
SoftSignal is not intended for use by children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will notify you via email or through the app. The updated policy will be effective as of the date posted on this page.
